| Howdy! The 2007 Big Bear Cowboy Gathering has moved
to September 20 through 23, 2007! Hang on to your hats; we are also
adding two more shows at the PAC! So cowboy up and get ready for a
grand time!
As you can see, many of our most popular cowboy artists are returning
this year. We welcome back Belinda and Curly to our Saturday matinee
and all poets will be featured on Sunday’s matinee. Dave Stamey
will headline Friday night’s evening at the PAC. After a few
years away, poet Buckshot Dot is returning and we welcome poet Andy
Nelson to Big Bear. In answer to your requests, the spirited music
of Chaparral is returning to the PAC and will headline Thursday
night’s fund raising dinner at the Museum. We will be treated
to the poetry of Gary Robertson at the Museum as well.
“Say What” is this year’s poster that pays tribute
to the kids who grew up cowboy in Big Bear Valley. The Cowboy Gathering
is honored to have June Dudley, an award- winning artist, for our
2007 poster artist. “Say What” is the title of the poster
and the inspiration for our theme, “Growin’ Up Cowboy”.
June lives in College Station, Texas on a ranch her family has owned
for 100 years. Their welcoming sign on a post at their ranch says,
“A good rain, a baby calf and you are always welcome.”
This saying is a good description of the kind of country gal our
poster artist is . |
